Il progetto si pone l’obiettivo di utilizzare le caratteristiche geografiche dell’area come l’elemento intorno al quale ricostruire una struttura che integri l’edificato e le infrastrutture all’interno di un sistema unitario e continuo di paesaggio, un vuoto che renda leggibile la valle sia nella sua direzione trasversale che nella sua dimensione longitudinale, che riconnette il centro urbano al lago riqualificando il territorio sud dell’area luganese. Per fare questo, in un quadro realistico che coniughi la sostenibilità ambientale a quella sociale ed economica, il progetto assume come dato fondante del processo di urbanizzazione dell’area l’idea di una densificazione delle diverse parti che esistono nella valle.
Project's target is to use the geographical features of this area as the element around which to reconstruct a structure integrating the built-up area and the infrastructures in a "organic" landscape system. It is a Void improving the valley natural and economical character. A Void that re-connects the urban center to the lake and the southern territory of the Lugano area. To do this, in a realistic framework that combines environmental sustainability with social and economic sustainability, the project assumes the idea of a densification of the different parts as a fundamental action of the urbanization process of the area.
